Action began with Pond raising a 5,300 bet to 20,000 from the cut-off.  Sparacio pops it to 60,000 total.  Pond is the only caller.

On a flop of 6♦ 7♦ 8♣ , Pond checks and James pushes out 100,000.  Pond double checked his K♦ 10♦.  With the flush draw, gutter, and two live cards, Pond ships another 80,000 and the monster stack insta-calls and tables A♠Q♥ .

Board bricks for Pond as a 5♠ and 8♥ sends him to the rail in 53rd Place for $998.

Meanwhile Sparacio pads his lead to 800,000.
