After Joe Stiers opened, Dan Spirer shoved for ~5 million.  Joe called.

Dan was ahead with AK.  Joe had A5 off.

A five hit the board giving Joe a pair and the pot. 

Dan busted in 6th place, earning $71,901.

Dan was already an accomplished player, winning the 2010 Borgata Poker Open Six Max event for $80,665.  He decided to attend the Inside The Minds training session held the day before the Winter Open began, to get 'inside the mind' of Lee Childs, who is a player whose game he respects.

"The course was beneficial to my game", Dan commented, adding that he definitely used some of the information he learned in this event.  Dan only entered this event once, and parlayed that $500 buy-in into almost $72,000.

Dan also wanted to thank Borgata for putting on a "wonderful event" and tell everyone that "Poker is not dead on the East Coast."
