You're not gonna believe this. Richard Finberg had heart surgery back in March. He's been rehabbing ever since and has built up enough stamina to play in the entire 21 hour tournament.
His daughter Jessica is with him at Borgata and his son is a card dealer. Richard didn't forget to thank his wife Marilyn who also plays poker.
This is Richard's biggest Borgata cash to date. When he's not playing poker, he works as a lawyer.
"I kept moving up the ranks all day and felt like I was gonna win this thing" said Richard.
It was a friendly final table and you felt like if Richard and Diana Shamshoum could have shared 1st Place and the trophy, they would have.
Diana had Richard 5 to 1 when heads up started.
Congrats again to Richard Finberg from Pittsburgh who locks up $31,074 for his lucky and skillful poker playing today at Borgata.
