Sussman & Varkonyi
2002 WSOP Main Event Champion Robert Varkonyi (Great Neck, NY) is back at Borgata and says he barely qualified for the suggested 50-year-old age requirement.
"I'm 49ish," he jokes, which prompts another player to quip, "then you're disqualified."
Bill Sussman (Riverdale, NY), sitting to his right, has Varkonyi slightly covered, in years, not in chips.
The entire table is trading war stories as the atmosphere is always light and fun, at least in the early going.
Players are back from break and playing Level 4 (100/200), and for the record Wikipedia lists Varkonyi's DOB as 1961, but we'll let you do the math.
