Scott Herz
Chip Leader - 519k
Scott Herz (Austin, TX) quietly worked his way to the top of the chip counts and has the chip lead after Day 2 of the Borgata Winter Poker Open. Herz bagged 519k (130 bb), just ahead of Joe DiMartino (Ansonia, CT), who finished with 517k.
"I went on a sick rush," said DiMartino who added that he was down to 28k on the dinner break. "I double-up with kings and flopped a set," said DiMartino as he and Herz are the only two players with more than 500k.
160 finished the night and return for Day 3 as they continue their quest for the $730,053 first prize.
Familiar faces still alive include Russell Crane, the 2011 Borgata Spring Poker Open Champion who's fifth overall with 468k. The list also includes three-time Borgata trophy winner Chris Reslock (271k), three-time WSOP bracelet winner Matt Matros (258k), and two time WPT winner Jonathan Little (318k).
