Championship Day 1B Recap / Day 2 Preview

$3300 + $200 WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship NLH

Mark Ketteringham (Las Vegas, NV) is the chip leader with 194k heading into Day 2 of the Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship event.  He leads 567 players who return for their shot at the $730,053 first prize.

The 1,042 total entries helped smash the $2 Million Guaranteed prize pool as the buy-ins reached $3,438,600.

Ketteringham, the Day 1B chip leader, is ahead of  Chris Barnes (Vancouver, Canada), who bagged 190k and Day 1A chip leader Luis Vazquez (Taunton, MA) who is at 182k and third overall.

Play resumes noon Tuesday with the average stack of 55k (92 bb) and blinds beginning with Level 9 (300/600/75 ante).
